Dehydration is a major migraine trigger for many people. A lack of water can cause the brain to temporarily contract or shrink from fluid loss, bringing on head pain.
Aim to drink at least 2 litres of water a day - a large bottle such as the ones below will help you keep to this goal throughout the day. Also be prepared with fast hydration tablets if you do have have rapid fluid loss due to events such as hot weather, exercise or illness.
